Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Chocolate and Strawberry, pure classic.

I love them, do you???

Chocolate covered strawberries make a great last minute Valentine’s Day gift. It is super easy to make and it feels personal. Instead of buying gifts, flowers and chocolates, prepare chocolate covered strawberries and impress your Valentine. It doesn’t have to be expensive, thought is what counts. I love DIY gifts, little obsessed.

Get ready to get messy, I love to get messy when it involves chocolate. I was so excited that I got my work area covered in chocolate. A little chocolate wouldn’t hurt. It is Valentine’s Day special. Just work it out later.

Ingredients,

1 cup of semi sweet/ dark

1 cup of white chocolate

2 tbsp of vegetable oil

6-8 strawberries

Preping,

Wash the strawberries and pat them dry.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

In a heat proof bowl add the semi sweet chocolate and a tbsp of vegetable oil. Melt it over double boiler.

Note:

Make sure that the base of the bowl is not touching the surface of boiling water, It will burn the chocolate. Nobody wants burnt chocolate.

Oil will make the chocolate silky and glazed.

Start dipping the strawberry in chocolate and let the excess drip. Place them on a cookie sheet. Let it cool in refrigerator for about 15-20 mins.
