Baked Banana & Ice cream

Dessert doesn’t have to be complicated. All you need is banana. A three course meal is never complete without dessert. I chose a old school dessert for Valentines’s day three course meal. Little nostalgia wouldn’t hurt.

Baked Banana is my absolute favorite dessert for one particular reason, ‘Guilt free dessert’. Fruit desserts are the best, refreshing after a heavy meal. My favorite way to enjoy my dessert is in front of Television with a hot beverage.  It literally has two main ingredients banana and cinnamon. Baked banana can be modified in any way you like. Scoop it with you favorite ice cream, yogurt or whipped cream. Vanilla ice cream tastes the best with Baked Banana. Go ahead and add chocolate chip or cocoa nibs.

Can be done in 15 mins, including the prep time.

Ingredients,

2 ripe bananas

1 tsp of ground cinnamon

½ lemon

1 tsp of butter

1 tsp of brown sugar (optional)

2 scoops of vanilla ice cream

Preping,

Preheat oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Peel the bananas and cut lengthwise. Try not to break the bananas.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the bananas on the sheet.

Squeeze lemon juice over the bananas. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over the bananas.

Note: You can substitute honey instead of brown sugar or you can skip using brown sugar. Bananas are naturally sweet.

Spread a little amount of butter on the banana.

Bake for about 10-15 mins.

Serve with ice cream when the bananas are still warm.

I sprinkled some cocoa nibs.
